Forbes Solutions Training

Knowledge of the basics around diversity, equity, and inclusion is essential for any organization wanting to build a better culture.

Forbes Solutions currently trains school districts and other entity employees on harassment and discrimination laws, and implicit bias.

Paula Forbes can consult on race and equity issues and provide coaching on race relations. She can also provide coaching on educational equity and student achievement. Her Finding Human workshops and retreats focus specifically on a person's own self-awareness of race and how it impacts the way they show up in the world. Paula believes that helping leaders do their own work first allows them to create more inclusive spaces in their programs and organizations.

Paula is a licensed practitioner and distributor of the Insights Discovery™ employee development program, which aims to teach leaders at global organizations and their teams how to reach peak performance through more self-awareness. She is also a member of the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and has been trained in the Co-active® coaching model, which believes in enhancing clients’ existing skills, resources, and creativity.

Teaching

Paula has taught aspiring leaders and superintendents working on their Licensure  Education and the Law for over 15 years. She has also developed a version of her course for educational leaders at all levels because it is vital to understanding race from a historical, legal and civil rights perspective so that we know how to better serve all students.

Paula also teaches public policy to organizations and their leaders in order to help them better examine how the government policies and practices impact our daily lives. Her sessions help people understand how our policies and legal practices can leave individuals feeling marginalized, and what we can do to make changes at the policy level.
